Friary wood provides a welcoming homely atmosphere, with Great Hosts and lovely rooms with great views,overlooking the gardesns and Paddocks.. Friary Wood offers 7 letting rooms with Either en- suite or own private bathroom (not shared ) spread across the upper two floors of the house and each has been designed to make your stay luxurious, relaxing and enjoyable. From the absolutely huge master suite which can sleep up to six and with a bathroom you'll just want to wallow in, to the smaller but no less luxurious top floor rooms that combined also work exceptionally well as comfortable family suites.Friary wood provides Continental Breakfast along with a Hearty Full English Breakfast - all locally sourced that will really set you up for the Day! We also cater for Vegetarian, Celiac and Gluten Free Options. As soon as you drive through the gates and up to the house, you will feel as though you've escaped to a different world; our house is set in nearly 20 acres of land - the views are just stunning and as far as the eye can see. We have a combination of formal gardens (including an original walled garden), woodland with gorgeous walks down to Iford and Bradford on Avon, a tennis court and outdoor heated swimming pool. And the terrace overlooking the paddocks is an ideal place to sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
Directions: You can reach Friary Wood from Bath on either the B3110 or the A36. If you come along the A3100, as soon as you come into the village of Hinton Charterhouse, look out for a turning on the left into Branch Road signposted (Warminster). Friary Wood is about 0.5 mile from the petrol station on the right hand side. If you are travelling along the A36 from Bath to Warminster (and Salisbury), after about five miles you will reach a set of traffic lights (down to your left you will see the Canal BoatCentre). Carry straight along the A36 for about 3 miles passing the turning on the left for Freshford' and Sharpstone' and on the right for Hinton Charterhouse'. Approximately 200 yards further along from the turning to Hinton Charterhouse you will see Friary Wood on the left hand side. Travelling from the South, head for the A36 to Bath. After the Beckington roundabout, you will pass through the village of Woolverton - carry on towards Bath. Don't turn off of this road just a short distance from Woolverton look out for a petrol station on the right and a sign to Iford. Friary Wood is about 0.5 mile from the petrol station on the right hand side
